It was founded in 1612 by the Prince Francesco Isfar y Corilles.
Not far from the town by the sea you can find Eraclea Minoa beach and archaeological site

FAIRS AND RELIGIOUS FEASTS

San Joseph feast is dedicated to the patron Saint of Cattolica Eraclea and takes place on March 19th every year.

Saint Martin Fair takes place on the 12th and on the 13th of November and it is dedicated to local products and cooking.
