We don’t know when Bivona was founded, but we are sure of the fact that the area was inhabited already during the Arab time.
During Middle Ages it belonged to some of the most powerful Sicilian aristocratic families of that time such as Charamonte, Perollo and Luna.
Today Bivona is famous for being the home place of the delicious Pesca Bivona , which in English sounds Bivona Peach.
The most important religious event is SANTA ROSALIA FEAST which takes place in September
It dates from the 15th century . A procession follows the statue of the Saint in the streets of the town.
